Recipe of the Week: Pan Con Tomate

Since arriving in Spain for my year abroad, there is one thing I can’t get enough of- Pan Con Tomate. Incredibly yummy and perfect for anytime of the day, this Spanish tapas dish can be made in just a few steps!

Ingredients:

  • Loaf of Rustic bread
  • Olive oil
  • 3 large tomatoes
  • Salt
  • One clove of garlic

First, slice the rustic bread, brush with olive oil and toast until golden brown. Then, grate the large tomatoes (using the large holes of your grater) before adding a sprinkle of salt to your puree. Finally, whilst your toast is warm, rub a garlic clove over the bread and spread your tomato mixture on top.

I would recommend to slice your bread thick and buy super ripe tomatoes as they make a big difference to the taste. Overall, this recipe is perfect if you are looking for something quick and easy but still delicious- it truly is a Spanish delight!
