Patti Harrison is back in Edinburgh with her show My Huge Tits Huge Because They are Infected Not Fake, and if you were too nervous to go last year because of your allegations, fear not. Patti has allegations of her own now, and she’s so sorry for judging you for yours. This hour of comedy is a can’t miss– My Huge Tits is absurdly funny, just this side of too weird, and shockingly in touch for someone who is technically a millennial (not an insult).
My Huge Tits Huge Because They Are Infected Not Fake has everything you could possibly want: sex, original songs, beloved children’s movie characters, and Harrison’s own lockdown-era television pitch. She invites us all to leave our negative thoughts in a pile in the corner with hers, so long as we pick them all up after; which is like, super generous.
Harrison has obviously perfected this show; every bit blends seamlessly into the next and there is no practically no dead air. Sitting in the audience feels like being swept into the funniest tornado and being hit in the face with massive prosthetic breasts, a bright red RC car, Lily Rose Depp’s singing voice, and the 2010 country crossover hit If I Die Young by The Band Perry.
Harrison’s brand of post-Buzzfeed internet humour is so well executed throughout the hour, her irreverence expertly poking fun at the therapy generation (again, leave your negative energy right over there in the corner). Her style of absurdism is finally hitting the mainstream– She has writing credits on shows like Shrill and I Think You Should Leave– and My Huge Tits is a perfectly self-indulgent hour of the most insane laughing I’ve ever done.
In a way I’m annoyed that this was my first show of the 2024 Fringe, because it set such a high bar for all comedians to come this month.
