“He’s sweating now”: Andrew on display at the Louvre

“They said hang it in the Louvre, so we did.” This is the caption to a post made by the anti-billionaire group Everyone Hates Elon. The British political group hung an ornately framed copy of the not-so-flattering photo of Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor (yes you know the one) hiding in the back of a white leather-bound Range Rover, as he was escorted back from an eleven-hour police detention on his birthday. It turns out you can’t have your cake and eat it too – at least not birthday cake if you’re an Epstein-befriending sex offender.

The photo was hung by the group in the Louvre on Sunday 22nd of February. The picture, although different in quality, is not out of context in the Louvre, which houses depictions of monarchs throughout the centuries. Yet I doubt this is the portrait Andrew had in mind for himself, maybe he was thinking more Da Vinci style?

Everyone Hates Elon commented “we wanted to show Andrew how he would be remembered.”

Underneath the photo they hung the caption “He’s sweating now,” a reference to Andrews famous interview where he told BBC reporter Emily Maitlis that he could not sweat due to a medical condition.

Despite the photo only being up for 15 minutes, it will stay in the cultural zeitgeist for much longer, as Everyone Hates Elon commented: “seeing a disgusting abuser FINALLY face a bit of justice? That’s priceless.”
